ALES League Principles and Organization

The Altitude Limited Electric Soaring League was formed to promote the ALES format of competitive radio control soaring. Refer to AMA Competition Regulations Event 463 for detailed rules.

The league website is here to provide centralized contest information, and to recognize the achievements of the pilots who compete.  Contests are typically sponsored by clubs and other non-profit organizations through the volunteer efforts of their members.

The ALES league has no dues. No membership or administrative fees are charged.  The league operates on a strictly volunteer basis thanks to the generous donation of time and other resources from those who wish to share their joy of radio controlled soaring.
